Last weekend I was privileged enough to be part of the organizing committee for Pinoy Mountaineer's first annual charity climb (see pinoymountaineer.com). The 80+ man contingent, composed of climbers from all over the country, scaled Mount Pulag, the highest peak in Luzon at 2922 meters above sea level, via the very manageable Ambangeg trail. The entire mountain is actually shared by three provinces - Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya.

In my rush due to another incredibly hectic friday in medschool, I overlooked purchasing film for my camera so I was left with only one roll for the entire expedition. Hence the small album. On a personal note however, I think that no amount of photographs will ever be enough to document the majestic Mt. Pulag experience. You really have to be there to see for yourself.

Finally, the climb was made possible through the efforts of Pinoy Mountaineer and the Mu Sigma Phi fraternity of the UP College of Medicine in partnership with Hi-Tec (the official footwear of the charity climb), Deuter, R.O.X., and Pocari Sweat.

Being on top was surreal. It was humbling, to say the least.
